Lothar Matthäus to become coach of Seleção

São Paulo/Sofia. German soccer-legend Lothar Matthäus will most likely become successor of head coach Mano Menezes.

The World Champion of 1990 is told to have already signed a pre-contract to lead the Canarinhos to the FIFA World Championships 2014. This reports German local football-magazine “kicker” in its print version this Friday, which has been leaked by an unnamed informant.
Lothar Matthäus will retire from his job as national coach of Bulgaria as soon as this summer.
As “kicker” analyzed, Lothar Matthäus has hoped for German national coach Joachim Löw to retire in 2012, but he extended his contract till 2014. Because of Matthäus’ dream, to become World Champion both as a player and as a coach, he connected with his old friend Carlos Dunga, who helped him to incorporate with Ricardo Teixeira, Predident of the Brazilian Football Confederation.
It ist not told when Matthäus ist going to start his work in Brazil, but we are proudly looking forward to meet one of the best football players ever.
